Emily received her BA in Classical and Near Eastern Archaeology from the University of Minnesota and has participated in several excavations in Israel. She is a tour leader of annual pilgrimages to Israel and other Bible related destinations such as Turkey, Greece, Italy, Jordan, and Egypt. Her most recent publication is "Lily of the Mohawks: The Story of St. Kateri" who is the first Native American Saint from North America, canonized October 21, 2012. She also published A Pilgrim’s Guide to the Holy Sepulchre and Golgotha in Jerusalem which covers the history of Christ’s tomb from the 1st century CE to the present. Her first book was My Heart Is a Violin: The Autobiography of Renowned Violinist/Composer and Holocaust Survivor Shony Alex Braun. Emily has worked with Ascension Press as co-editor of Amazing Grace for Mothers. She is the developer of the “Great Adventure Kids” bible study materials. She co-wrote the “Walking Toward Eternity: Making Choices for Today” Bible Study Series One and Two with her husband, Jeff. She is also the author of “Catholic Family Night,” a series of lessons covering all three liturgical reading cycles with one lesson per week throughout the entire year. Emily is the proud mother of three daughters, Carly, Jacqueline and Antonia and grandmother of Dominic. One of her favorite hobbies is traveling with Jeff her husband of over thirty years.
